From early prototypes to patented designs, Geoff and Paul have driven Floodmatik forward with the same principles that shaped their careers: technical precision, innovation grounded in experience, and a commitment to making communities safer.
Geoff Evans
Geoff in a chartered Civil Engineer who conceptualised the idea of a fully automatic flood barrier using floatation almost 10 years ago. Geoff ran his own consultancy practice for over 30 years and specialised in flood risk evaluation and assessments, providing solutions for projects such as Carbis Bay where the G7 summit was hosted in 2022.
Paul Fairhurst
Paul Fairhurst is a fully qualified Mechanical Engineer with experience in running his own rotational moulding company for over 30 years. His expertise is in product design and development of floating products such as ‘Fairhurst Marine’ navigation buoys, dredging collars and mooring buoys. He has gained vast experience in material selection and manufacturing floating products required to outperform competition in the most demanding environments.
