Protect your home from flooding

At Floodmatik We have invented a fully automatic domestic flood barrier that requires no external power or human attendance. It operates like a drawbridge, normally horizontal and flush with the ground, it raises to the vertical on the onset of flooding and seals the opening against the ingress of flood water.

It does this before the flood level reaches the door threshold and it drops back to the horizontal when the flood recedes. This operation is entirely powered by the presence of flood water and the buoyancy of the barrier.

Fully automatic

There are no other flood barriers that can achieve this without external electrical power or the addition of expensive side walls and seals.

Floods often occur with little warning, usually in bad weather, and often during the night. Flash floods occur with hardly any warning at all. There is often a power cut during a flood.

Under these circumstances installing a temporary barrier can be difficult and unpleasent.

Floods can occur in any season when you can be at work, on holiday or just away from home for any reason.

Our barriers will give you peace of mind that wherever you are your home will be protected.

And they are an attractive addition to your home. They are very unobtrusive, normally resting flush with the ground. The horizontal anti-slip deck is available in a variety of colours to match your paving. The door frame is made from extruded aluminium, also colour matched to your other fittings.
